All right, hate me!
I'm pretty mad at myself as it is.
I haven't blogged since...since a long time!
Forgive me ;) I know I'm evil, but hey. I've been writing my eyes/hands off.
So I'll be back...watch out :D

Submissions For Editing
I have gotten a request to EDIT!! Actually, 4. That's a lot, even if it wasn't someone on PW.
So, I guess at this rate I'm gonna need guidelines for submitting...and here they are!
-Submission cannot be longer than 10 pages.
-Must be your OWN work.
-Please know that your work if safe with me--I will not steal it. I have experience editing and in publishing, and I am 'professional'.
-I only edit sections of books--no comics, poetry, etc.
-Please include a small, short summary of the story, which will help me analyze the scene.
-Please tell me the location (i.e. chapter, page #) of the scene.
Please contact me via e-mail at writer421 (at) gmail (dot) com, of course minus the spaces, (at) turns into @, (dot) into . etc.
Expect a response in about 5-10 business days. If not, please continue to wait! :D
Buh-bye!

Well, I promised a longer post, so here it is! Fill this character sheet out for all characters, or the very important ones. For a section such as 'Name Meaning', is non applies simply fill in 'Non'.
Enjoy :D

Writing Right
Mwahahaha. Silly blog reader...stumbling on this site, what a misfortune...*cackles*.
Prepare to be tortured--or dazzled, either one.
Well, *sighs* as long as your here, you might as well learn something...I suppose.
Tips for writing:
-If you just decide to start writing a book, it won't sound good. Forcing yourself to build a plot is going to lead to poor writing. *Prepare for cheesy moment* In order to make a book good, you have to write from your heart *Cheesy moment finished*
-Character's are the heart of the book--make 'em good, make 'em believable, make them interesting. You never do know when you'll stumble on a good character idea. *Flashback* I was once outside when an idea for a new character came to me. However, all I actually had in my mind was that the character would be young, but my friend was with me. She was one of the most supportive people in my writing process, so I bounced ideas off of her for about an hour until the character was developed pretty solidly. Solidly- (Character wise) Character has background, appearance, personality, etc. developed. From The Writer 421 Dictionary. However, a character is never complete. Just today, in the car, I had another idea for the specific character. You have to know your characters. You have to feel connected. Update- Check the 'Creating Character's Post for more information on creating a likable character.
-Plot's cannot have holes. Trust me, I learned this the hard way. I was about 75% done with my book when I realized I had created a character that didn't have a purpose. This completely changed the novel. I had to create a plot around that so it would make sense.
-Last but not least, don't force yourself to write. If you get brain dead and have writers block, take a break. People can tell when the writing is forced.
Hasta La Vista, Pajama Writing readers!
